Semi-finalist Sergey Malov (Russia) received Artistic Director's Special Prize - a commissioned violin bow made by violin maker Igor Gontar

Semi-finalists Maxim Kosinov (Russia) and Orest Smowzh (Ukraine) were offered concert engagements in 2008-09 artistic season.
