Born in Kyiv (Ukraine) Dima Tkachenko studied in Kyiv and London and in 2002 was made a Fellow of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

He was a prize-winner at several international violin competitions and is having a busy solo career performing throughout Europe, Japan, China and the USA.

Dima is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the Benjamin Britten International Music Competitions and the founder of the annual Kyiv Festival in Ukraine.
