AIMS OF
THE COMPETITION
“Competitions provide a means of promoting talented musicians in an environment which is at once edifying, stimulating and challenging for both competitors and audiences alike”. |
|
To bring quality violin music and performance to the public in a way which has an innovative, emotive and participatory appeal;
To attract, to London, the most talented violinists from around the world;
To successfully launch the careers of Competition prizewinners through concerto, recital and recording engagements;
To ensure that Competitors benefit from participation: equally through mastery of the programme to the highest competition standard, the chance to observe fellow Competitors, the opportunity to perform before the world-class Jury and to hear in detail from each Jury member considered commentary on their performances;
To promote the music of British composers;
To ensure that the Competition is recognised internationally for its uncompromising standard of excellence, its artistic merit and for the impartiality and transparency of the adjudication process. |
