PRE-SELECTION
JURY 2004

The Pre-Selection Jury for the 2004 Competition consisted of 5 acclaimed musicians representing 5 nations.

Convening on 22 May 2004 at Goodenough College, the Pre-Selection Jury performed the difficult process of selecting the 25 Competitors who were then invited to take part in the Competition. In an anonymous process, the Jury considered the audiotape material submitted by candidates to determine entry to the Competition. Results of the Pre-Selection adjudication were made public on Friday 28 May 2004.

Chaired by Rodney Friend (United Kingdom), the Pre-Selection Jury included Jeanne-Marie Conquer (France), Alexei Grynyuk (Ukraine), Lydia Mordkovitch (United Kingdom/Russia) and Krzysztof Smietana (Poland).
