2004 ORCHESTRAS AND CONDUCTORS

The Final Round of the Competition was held at the Barbican on Sunday 1 August and Monday 2 August 2004. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performed with the Finalists under Volodymyr Sirenko and Jan Wagner.

The Awards Ceremony and Laureates Gala Concert were held at the Barbican on Tuesday 3 August 2004, the Prizewinners performing with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Andrew Davis.

2004 COMPETITION PIANISTS

Each Competitor in the First and Second Rounds of the Competition performed with one of the Competition Pianists. These highly reputed pianists were Oleg Bezborodko (Ukraine), Nigel Hutchison (United Kingdom) and Andrew Zolinsky (United Kingdom).
